Sure hope not. I think Bazz' upside is closer to Kobe's than CJ's is to Bazz.

This kid is deemed a future superstar in the NBA. He would be coming straight out of high school if the NBA doesnt ban it. While CJ came straight out of high school and he was never hyped up to be a superstar so yeah I bet a rookie Shabazz is more consistent and plays better than CJ Miles right now
Too much Bazz and CJ in the same sentence. Not good, too irrelevant.

Shabazz will have a bright future if he chooses to come to UCLA and work on his defense. Coach Howland is a total control freak, but is also known for preparing kids for the NBA (the # of former UCLA guards starting in the NBA is astonishing) by running a pro-style offense that requires you to memorize every detail of the plays. He also preaches hard-nose defense and pretty much only hard-working players will even see time on the floor.
Words on the street is that Shabazz has Kobe-like work ethic (same thing can't be said about CJ), and has serious desire for winning. His buddy, Kyle Anderson (6'8 point guard and top 5 rated), has already committed and publicly stated that he is going to UCLA to better prepare himself for the NBA.
In my honest opinion, coming to UCLA or not will play a major role in deciding if he's closer to DeRozan or Kobe.
