Should Alec Burks be the Jazz future PG?

I think the organization should consider it. The biggest shock was seeing how small he was an he will be a bit undersized for 2 but has great size for a PG.He grew up playing the position and he already has the abilities. Ball handling, passing and getting into the lane and free throw line are his specialties. I think a Russel Westbrook could be a good mold for him to follow. Just better decision making.

A backcourt of Burks/Hayward would be extremely long and athletic. Then we could focus the TPE or draft picks on a young SF to compliment the team.

Can you please quit it with these could or should posts? Jesus. Not only are they pointless drivel but half of the time, your statements are more than incorrect. Burks is not undersized at the 2. In fact, his standing reach and wingspan are both greater than Hayward's and most feel Gordon can not only play the 2 but the 3.

I'm sorry the title meant to say "Could" not "Should"

If mods could change it.

And I agree it probably won't be until this offseason and a full training camp until the coaches will know. But still fun to consider nonetheless.

I think Hayward will struggle defending most SF's.

I hope not

That's great. How does that change the fact that your comment about Burks being undersized at the 2 is beyond moranic?

Have you seen him play in person? The dude is pretty small.

Kfan had a discussion about it last week how his size will hurt him. Especially guarding a bigger 2. Also Locke has repeatedly discussed Burke as a possible PG.

I feel you either have an elite PG or don't play any that can't shoot the lights out. I hate watching subpar lead guards pound the ball, throw up a call, pass it off, and step back to watch it all unfold. I'd rather replace a less than stellar PG with another 2 or 3 on the floor. I could go on, but I'm irritating myself.

I still think there is importance in having a player who can really push tempo and get into the lane. I know Burks is good at getting into the lane, but he just isn't as quick as these 6'3 and under players are.
