Should the NBA Change Foul Limit Rules?

No they should not. What they should do is adjust some of the foul rules to the 90s era so players are actually allowed to guard their opponents.
A rule adjustment wont matter in regards to how they call it. There will always be bad calls. The point of what i'm saying is to curb the effect of a bad call so it's not devastating/game-changing in the 1st quarter.

I don't think this would be an issue if the NBA reffing wasn't so incredibly inconsistent. Game 1 & 2 were reffed completely opposite of each other.
This is the real issue... that and 50% of the calls in the league are based off of player reaction and not seeing the actual contact.

And game 2 was reffed incredibly inconsistent throughout the game - very poorly officiated game. That is a bigger issue for me then between games.

Eh, how often do players foul out? Especially star players.
How many players fouled out last night?
Coaches over react and sit guys when they don't need to. Guys almost never foul out (especially stars) even when they get 3 fouls in the first half or whatever.
I would just play my normal rotation when guys get in foul trouble knowing that a guy fouling out is unlikely

disagree... they called it super tight but were consistent. Game 1 they allowed Brooks to commit several crimes against humanity but then called touch fouls on Mike.

The Rudy JV thing is a problem. You can literally call a foul on almost every play. The refs get to use their "judgement" and one player is likely disadvantaged each play.

There are a few small tweaks to the rules I would make and the biggest change I would have is I would penalize flopping and exaggerating contact. So much energy is used to trick officials or draw calls because it is rewarded handsomely.

If you really wanted to add a foul the 6th foul should carry a big penalty if you leave the player in the game. Like 2 additional free throws... 7th foul the same thing. They should only allow you to keep one player in beyond 6 fouls too.

Foul limits don't need to be changed - what does need to be changed is the fact that defenders can't body anyone up now without the shooter turning up and throwing a wild shot at the rim to draw a shooting foul.

Last night's game was excruciating to watch - a three hour foul-fest with too many FTA that simply kills any game flow.

Compounding this is Quin won't challenge anything and some of the fouls were ghost fouls where Morant wasn't even touched.

I'm actually fine with how the game was reffed last night. They were consistent at least. I would prefer they allow more contact and be consistent that way but the wildly inconsistent Game 1 murdered us. Several 50/50 fouls and all seemed to go against us. The early foul trouble from the Grizz were all on pretty obvious fouls.

The only really cringy fouls I thought were the one with Rudy on Ja that was an obvious challenge candidate and Quin preferred to thumb his ******* rather than challenge it. The other foul was the one where JJJ just traveled and fell to the ground and it was called a foul. I at least understood that one because it may have looked like he was pushed.

I would love for the NBA to legislate out the Euro foul. I know we are likely the biggest offender... I hate it so much. Feels like 25% of the time we botch it anyway.

Do something to penalize flopping... either scout those players and treat them like the boy that cried wolf or have real on court penalties for flopping.

I don't think they need to increase the foul limit... I think it is counter productive.
