Devin Harris: Very good in open court
Earl Watson: Same
Raja Bell: Always played better on teams with an up tempo style of play
Miles: Looked very good in open court last night
Hayward: Very quick and shifty on the break
AK: We all know how good he is on the fast break
Millsap: Runs the Break Well
Favors: Runs the Court very well also

Jefferson: Not good at all at running the court. But you always need a good rebounder staying back. We can go to him in the post when we are in a half court set.

The downside to playing more up tempo is guys have to get on the break quicker which might make us worse at defensive rebounding. So that is the trade off.

To play that way you have to guard the other team and get a turn over or play D and force a bad shot and get the ball off the glass. That isn't happening now.

In order to play that way, you need to rebound. So obviously, I guess that leaves the Jazz out.

What they need is an uptempo defense and the offense would follow, but of course that is not going to happen. It wouldn't hurt to force the issue more when they do have the chance to run of course. It's whatevs really this team is so flawed and out of sync its hard to figure out what would really work for them.

Playing up tempo involves playing defense, having bigs that can keep up, and having shooters.

We don't play defense and we don't have bigs or shooters.

Al Jefferson is our best (only) offensive threat, and he's a post player. Not Shawn Marion or Amare.

Who cares what type of offense we run, we should try playing a tiny bit of defense and see where we go from there.

One of the more amazing offensive defense series was the year Keith McBrick was a starter and AK had this amazing run to start the year. It shows what good D can do. Then the injury bug hit and the team totally went in the dumper.

It's not only a good trade off, but a good counter that the Jazz should look at doing more. Leaking out can make you a better defensive team as it forces the offense to worry about counter covering you whether they make the shot or not (Sloan used to always harp on the importance of running the offense correctly so that you are in a position to defend). It essentially takes away offensive options and makes going to the glass a gamble. I've been impressed with Ty Corbin's willingness to run up tempo, and it has paid dividends at times.

I don't care what kind of Offense the Jazz try to run. Until they fix there problems on Defense it doesn't matter.

The Jazz are really in limbo with Dwill gone. Most the players are suited for fast breaking (Harris, AK, Hayward, Millsap), while our main scorer is the anti-fastbreak poster boy.
