Should we trade Millsap for a great Point Guard?

As far as defense goes, I'm sorry but Millsap is not that much better than Jefferson.

WOW REALLY?

jefferson is LAZY doesnt even try to play defense..
but when he does he is good. maybe even better.
but millsap ALWAYS tries.

screw lazy players.

jeffersons defense sucks. ooh wait how can his defense suck, jefferson has no defense.

how dare you state that statement

OK, then; bench AJ when he's not defending.

Give him a another try in a few possessions--or at the next whistle--if you want.

Coaching 101.

Forget "chemistry" lost with subbing; if your center isn't defending, then it'd take a whole lotta chemistry to overcome the bad D. Also, benching bad performance enforces effort.

I think anyone wanting to trade Millsap is nuts.

Is he a 20 point 10 rebound guy?

No.

But the leadership, hustle plays, and toughness he brings don't show up in the stat sheet.

A guy like Al Jefferson will almost always put up better "numbers" than Paul.Yet, rarely will Jefferson do more to help you win.

Paul along with Earl are the heart and soul of this Jazz team. We should bring in other plays to improve this team, NOT get rid of these guys.

This. Paul is a winner and fits in with what we're trying to do. Once (hopefully) Favors and the Menace are ready to start, Paul will once again come off the bench and be fine with it.

Trade whoever can get you the most in return.

Meh. I'm sure Millsap can bring back slightly more, but Al is still clearly the odd man out when it comes to our big men. Even if we were to get a little more from a Millsap trade, I would still prefer to trade Al. I have hope that Millsap will adapt (as he has) to any situation/role, and continue to improve his game every year. Al will stay the same. Also, Millsap's game complements Kanter and Favors' style much better.

Curious why you think Sap will improve but AL is not going to. Al HAS gotten better in a few ways since he got here I think. I love Sap too, but it seems he gets waaaaaay too much love here sometimes and people forget his faults too easily. Trade ANY of them for what we need. Al or Sap, neither is that big of a deal, which is why we wont get that much for them either.
