Simple trade to get rid of Jefferson and Bell. (Ridiculous trade warning.)

Gets rid of Orlando's cancer, and gives us one interesting season of Dwight Howard. He's not the most emotionally stable guy, but I feel like Favors could still learn a thing or two from him.

Once Dwight bolts, Kanter will hopefully be experienced enough to be getting Starter minutes, and we'll just go from there.

This makes sense if there isn't 28 other teams offering better deals.

Unless Dwight promises to sign an extension, I don't see many teams offering much better deals for a rental. The only teams he'd be willing to sign an extension with don't have great assets either. I mean, this trade is literally better than anything Brooklyn can offer. That's how sad this situation is. Orlando failed to trade him at the correct time, and I feel they're going to get screwed with this situation. Why not let Utah do that screwing? I think Dwight's best bet is to just let his contract expire and become a free agent.

Also, I said this thread was ridiculous in the topic title, so why give a crap if its not entirely logical? It's ridiculous.

The wild card here is just what are teams going to offer if he's not signing an extension.

I in no way think this is likely, but I've read and heard a million more worse ideas. Because let's face it, Orlando is ****ed, and Al being the sweetheart he is would probably agree to an extension as part of the deal. And with the spacing he'd get in Orlando, hell, it honestly might make a lot of sense for them.

I dont know, we got Favors and like 17 first round picks for Dwill without a promise of resigning.

Be almost fun to see Dwight here for a year. Him and Favors together would be quite the show to watch.
I know it will never happen, and its alright that it won't but still....

You need to take into consideration that the Jazz were working with one of the most desperate, crappy, and unapologetically short-sighted franchises in the NBA; that it was a season and a half in advance; and that Deron hadn't asked for a trade and created a giant circus around the situation that only served to harm the franchise he was being traded from.

True, I just think that Big Al and Raja isn't going to be their best offer. I guess I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

The "Warriors" would probably gut their team of everything to rent Dwight because they're a bunch of broken-pinky-looking butt spears.

...so I'm trying to visualize a physical butt-spear.

Don't know what I'm looking at, here, but I'm pretty excited about it.

As long as KOC has those compromising photos of Otis Smith I sent him I think we have a good chance here!

Howard is kind of a chode and I wouldn't want him long-term. I would be interested in dealing him. Anyhow, for one year I don't think it would hurt our chances to land Nash. That's assuming Nash doesn't think he's as big of a chode as I do (which he probably does, based off how he's handled his situation in Phoenix).

I'll say one thing, he is a perfect fit for that team. The only problem is there are a few teams that are on D12's list that he would sign an extension with, so why would the magic trade him to us for Al and filler when there will be better offers on the table.
