Ty Corbin will get offered a head coach job this offseason. When he leaves Scotty Layden will be the #1 assistant who hasn't publicly declared he will retire when Sloan Retires.

So if the current state of affairs wasn't bad enough, just try imagining Scott Layden as the head coach.

Dude, you just ruined my next few minutes. What a terrible thought that is.

I just felt like someone told me I have 2 days to live. I wouldnt put it past the front office though. Now that I think about it, they would NEVER get an "outsider" to coach this team.

The stupid thing is that our head coaching job should be one of the most coveted in the NBA. I mean, if you're a good coach you can stay here as long as you want, we don't really care about Championships or anything.

I am still holding out hope that Honacek gets a shot. For a while there it was pretty obvious he was being groomed for coaching spot. Then his work with the team kinda fell out of the public sphere. I would like to see what he could do with this team. I think he definitley has the respect of the players and the understanding of the game.

So true. You dont have to worry about going on losing streaks...winning championships. Just as long as you can make it to the first round and then lose...you're good to go.

A match made in heaven.

I've always loved Brown. He is a great coach. But we couldn't expect him to stay longer than two or three years given his history and age.

Not sure if I'd want that. But I think it's quite possible that he'd get more out of this team than Sloan.

I was wondering about that. Is he still working for the team?
