Dont worry about zman too much. He is just a Sloan hating idiot. According to his astounding logic, suddenly one fine year after playing under Sloan for 6 years all the players sat together and decided to "lose respect" for Sloan because he has been running the same system which have made the Jazz successful all the previous years. The same "predictable" system that helped them reach 2006-2007 WCF with a flawed team or even reach the finals a decade earlier.
Never mind that this team this year had lost both Boozer and Okur just like that and replaced both of them with just one big player, Big Al, who was struggling earlier to adjust. Never mind that they lost Korver and Wes. Never mind that Fragilenko was still on this team.Never mind that Deron himself had hurt his wrist yet again and was having terrible shooting nights. Never mind that Miles was his usual chucker self and Bell looked over the hill. Never mind that they didnt have any perimeter shooter worth a darn. Nope. It was all because of Sloan's predictable system that we lost games. How revealing? And if there were some other coach in place of Sloan this season, I mean any other coach would have led this great team to a title.
(PS: I fully expect zman to come back with his lame "no rings" argument. That is the only thing that is really "predictable" in all this, funnily enough)
