What's new

So many thoughts

I wasn't blown away by the loss. I wasn't even mildly surprised. It looked like a team that heard that their opponent would be without three of their best players and decided to mail it in. There was no urgency, nothing was sharp, and there is no incentive to change what they are doing because the only position subject to adjustment seems to be the 3.

Like you Bodhi, I have sat back and tried to hold my tongue but can't keep doing it. I have a season ticket renewal form sitting on my counter at home and the past 25 seasons, it has not been a question of whether I was renewing. That's not the case this season. My deadline is approaching and I am really trying to come up with a reason to renew other than "It's a good value". My fear of not renewing is that a new coach steps in and they become a dynamic team. My fear of renewing is that Corbin returns along with Jefferson and the team continues to be unwatchable and provide no entertainment value other than who the opponent is. I can't take another year of watching Jefferson.

You summed it up well regarding the two different approaches and what makes it really bad is the combative, defensive stance that Corbin has taken regarding his lineups. I keep hoping that the laisser-faire approach of ownership stops and Greg Miller recognizes that the fans are no longer stoked so he steps up and demands change. Then again, I'm not sure he cares, which leads me back to my dilemma of whether I should care enough to renew.

As a quarter century ticket holder, is there not a number you can straight call them up and ask these questions? It's not like you'd being doing so facetiously, this is as earnest a question as it gets when it comes to your genuine interests for reupping tickets.

In your case..... there most definitely should be a number you could call, or even a specific online message board. If you ever get an answer, please let us jazzfanz know :)

I wish that being a long time season ticket holder gave me access to the Batline, but no. I actually addressed the situation with my ticket representative and asked that he forward it on. He stated that this has been a very challenging season for them and it's hard to sell tickets for a team full of guys in contract years but he is "really excited for the future".

I've been "really excited for the future" for about 12 years now. I'm running out of "future".

I started another thread about not renewing tix and I stand by that. For you die-hards who have been with them for so long, my recommendation, if cold turkey's too tough to take, is to downgrade significantly. Instead of buying a twelve game package, buy a four game package. Or something like that.

You still get to see some games in person, watch the rest on tv, or do neither if they suck. If everyone took this approach, and JVG or someone who brought hope was hired, there would still be tix available come August I bet.

Hahahahaha...... you must not remember watching Stockton or something. Well that is of course if you're actually old enough to have watched him.

...I was watching Stockton and Malone....when you head was the size of a grape! However, without Malone at his side, I doubt Stockton could get this squad any farther than the 8th seed.
