That's true. But you would hope that a father with children (I believe Spence has a son) would have more maturity and awareness of possible consequences of his actions than, say, a college student getting drunk at a party. That he didn't care is cause for concern. Maybe it's just me, but if I planned on getting drunk, I'd call Uber or make sure someone in my company was the designated driver. I value others' lives (and my own) too much to take the chance of killing or injuring someone else or myself by driving impaired. And even if I didn't have an accident, the consequences of being arrested and convicted of DUI are pretty onerous. Except, apparently, the consequences haven't been severe enough to convince Spencer to not drive while under the influence.
