Some historical precedents before the playoffs begin

1. The last time we faced the Clippers in the first round (or at all) was exactly 20 years ago when we swept them.

2. The last time we faced the Warriors in the second round (or at all) was exactly 10 years and we knocked them off 4-1.

3. The last time we faced the Rockets in the WCF was exactly 20 years ago when we sent them packing (and we've knocked them off both times we've met since then).

4. The Eastern conference sucks today, 10 years ago, 20 years ago and forever. I like our chances this year.

I really do believe Lindsey rested both Hill and Favors low key to ensure they were 100% for the playoffs. He built a pretty deep team, and now we have a bunch of guys with fresh legs ready for the playoffs.

I think they also rested Alec Burks. This guy used to drop 25-30 on any given night and has turned into a ghost this year. Let's hope he turns into the poltergeist and comes back into his own in the post season.

We won 51 games without even playing our full roster 3/4 of the season. Yikes! I can see us steamrolling through the Clippers. i could see us taking them out 4-1. They are a dynamic squad, yes, but we have a bunch of contract hungry players that want to make some noise.

I also see subliminal messaging playing out. 20 years ago was when we last went to the Finals. Let's make it happen again.

Also, 21 years ago this movie came out..

Notice the "6" in the bottom corner. I think Joe Johnson, #6, whom wore #2 his entire career (Lewis Scotts number) sends us to the Finals with an inbound 3 pointer against the Rockets, game 6, ala John Stockton. We face the Celtics, whom we take to 7 games and win. Just like the movie.

I also left out that the 3 actors that headline the movie all had first names that started with the letter "D". This could represent us for 2 things. It could represent our high octane "D" that we play. Triple D's could be flipped to the fact that Joe Johnson is infact an evolved "3D" player, and is the X factor.

Joe Johnson was also involved in kidnap talks. When being discussed last season in an interview with LeBron James, LBJ brought up the fact that he'd "kidnap his momma" to win a championship. The fact that Joe Johnson, himself didn't sign with Cleveland led LeBron James to contemplate such desperate measures as Dan Akroyd and Daniel Stern did when they kidnapped Damon Wayans in Celtic Pride by kidnapping his own mother to win a title.

Read between the lines. This is our playoffs.
