#22 Days until the first NBA Preseason game

John 'The Sizzle' Crotty Sported #22.

Crotty (of course) is Joe Ingles Uncle and athletic idol.

Here are a few tidbits from Captain Crotchy himself.

Crot taking on Dennis 'Hillary' Rodman in this thriller:

14 days until media day.

Jeff Hornacek wore #14 and that number is now retired.

14 is the atomic number of silicon, not to be confused with silicone commonly seen on game threads.

14 is the minimum age a person can purchase, rent or buy tickets to a 14A rated movie in Canada without an adult.

14 is the minimum age limit to drive a 50cc motorbike in Italy.

In golf, a player can have no more than 14 clubs in the bag.

State Route 14 (SR-14) is a state highway in southern Utah, running for 40.995 miles (65.975 km) in Iron and Kane Counties from Cedar City to Long Valley Junction. The highway has been designated the Markagaunt High Plateau Scenic Byway as part of the Utah Scenic Byways program.

It took me 14 minutes to read and make sense of all that.

News seems even more scarce this year leading up to training camp. Part of it, I think, is that the Jazz filled up their roster early. No late signings for training camp.

Oh, this is a fun tradition. Looking forward to more.

PS--it seems incredible that Mitchell was even BETTER in the post-season than the pre-season. We had to wait 7 years to find out if Haywood could perform in the post-season (and he acquitted himself well, I think). Mitchell did it his rookie year.
This.

But Mitchell carried us there his rookie year, and showed everyone how to beat the living **** out of a bunch of little bitches damn near single-handedly.

**** hayworthless.

So I listen to David Locke today. Someone asked him question who is looking good in the pickup games. He gave a roundabout answer talking about how couple years ago he got too excited about watching Booker in the games and said how great he was going to be and then realized he's playing against guys like Cooley and in reality he's not going to be that amazing.

He said he hasn't had a chance to watch very much yet but basically just the guys look good but they all look good and everybody is playing against each other. So basically it sounds like there's not going to be much news or even hype until media day or until things really get going. Sigh.

Still, thanks for the update anyway.

The 28th of September the jazz are hosting a meet the players event at vivint arena. I’m pretty sure I will be going.
They will be having a 3 point competition that should be fun to see as from what I understand they will be pairing good shooters with not so good shooters and seeing which 2 man team wins.

So you might get gobert and jingles against favors and DM or something. Seems mildly entertaining.

Gobert and Jingles would be entertaining for sure.

First preseason game is 11 days away but I wonder if there's any chance the Jazz televise it. I wonder if the international aspect (playing against Perth) makes it more or less likely to be televised.

I just want to see some Jazz basketball.

Last year I think the Jazz didn't announce preseason broadcast plans until a few days before the first game. And I think it was just two games they were televising. But now we have Donovan. Everyone wants to see Donovan.
