Some Random Thoughts

Here are just a few thoughts

I keep hearing that burks is the next Ronnie Brewer... ? Burks can handle the ball, create his own shot, and can get to the rim at will (Burks will still be able to get to the rim in the NBA. I'd bet my GPA on it. the Guy will be special if he has what David locke calls "the it Factor".

Though Derrick Favors is not the next Dwight Howard, he's got all the skills and tools to be really special. for a 6'10 big man, he is as quick and as nimble as anyone i have ever seen with his length and size. if he beefs up, and works on his game wow. we think we are about 5 to 6 years away from seeing his ceiling.

Gordon Hayward is going to be the leader of this team. He does the right things, and he knows how to play team ball and win. i predict that one of his elite skills will be found in his ability to do the things needed to win basketball games. he's gonna grow up to be really good, and i could easily see him or favors up for most improved player when we finally have a next season.

Kanter? what do we make of the mystery man himself. I watched the european games he played in over the summer and i really do believe he's gonna be great for the Jazz. will he be really good? i don't know about that. someone recently said it best about Kanter, "the guy bounces around like a deer when he's on the court". that is a perfect way to describe how he moves on the court. i can't wait to see him and favors team up together. he is certaily a banger underneath and he loves contact.

i think that jazz have to potential to have the best starting 5 in the NBA 5 years down the road. make no mistake about it, though the future point gaurd spot will not likely belong to harris in 3 to 5 years, the other four spots will belong to the guys i have just mentioned. Burks at SG, Hayward at SF, Favors at PF, and Kanter at C. The jazz really do have a bright Future- I've Got a strong feeling it is so!

Haha. oh yes, i should have expounded on this. I really feel like Kanter is going to be great for the Jazz, but i don't know if he'll be a really good nba player. Anderson varejao for the Cavs is a great example of this. I think he is great for the cavs and fit what they were trying to do when they had labron but he'll never be really good. Does that clarify my point? :) I think it makes pretty good sense!

Well guys i am not going to lie, not exactly the conversation i was trying to initiate... i was hoping we could talk more B-ball haha... plus i'm not too big a fan of girls like that anyway lol. Basketball comments would be great though!! ;) ... :)

I think that Burks will challenge Corbin's ability to adapt the system to the strengths of the players he has. Burks is an efficient isolation player. Well as efficient as isolation players go. Finding the right spots to use Burks offense talents and mixing in the offense sets the Jazz traditional run will interesting.

I agree that Hayward has a lot of ingredients needed to be a real leader. I think he is still a few year of experience away from being a team leader though.

The sky is the limit for Favors. He just need to learn how to stop picking up cheap fouls on D.

Kanter will provide a physical presence on the board and on offense that Jefferson and Millsap cannot provide. Defensively I am still not sure what will get out of him. He seems to be mobile enough and to have good enough motor to at least attempt to make the right defensive play.

Burks hasn't played a minute in the NBA and he is already at MAX efficiency as an ISO player? Damn!
