I happen to be very close to the people who won this contest. Very close indeed. Any advice for the soon-to-be travelers?

Eat at Mother's Restaurant. Have some oysters at Acme. Go to the National D-Day museum. The Cemetery tours are creepy fun. Check out Bourbon Street, but don't spend too much time there. The Garden district is gorgeous. Love the beignets at Cafe Du Monde with cafe au lait.

I could go on. I miss New Orleans. Need to get back again soon. It was so easy to hop on down to mardi gras when I was at LSU. You definitely take it for granted.

My advice would be drunk

Get up early, carry your wallet in your front pocket, be in your hotel before dark, eat at chain restaurants you are familiar with, if you need something to do walk around Wal-Mart. Don't drink he water unless it's bottled.

Excellent, thanks for the advice. What's a nice place to listen to some real jazz?

NOLA is easily a top 5 food city in America, if not the world.

Maybe America, but world?

I've always wanted to go to NOLA. I think it's tied with NYC with the American city that I wanna see most.
