come to the Middle East for the best food of the world (arguably)
but avoid suicide bombers, pls.

Maybe America, but world?

Yup, it's a world-renowned food city. Not saying it's a sure thing, but it would be in the conversation.

Don't think you can get a bawse shrimp poboy and gumbo at those scrub cities.

Congrats LoaP! My advice would be to skip the game and continue to sample restaurants. I would eat my way through that city and wash it down with a lot of beer.

I've been in Egypt, Jordan and Turkey. I really enjoyed the food in Istanbul. I prefer Thai, Vietnamese, Italian and Peruvian food (seafood here is just unbelievable).

OP, please let us know how was your trip and please, bring us a L

I heard about NO being great for food. I've been many times in US but unfortunately not in NO. I'm sure it has one of the best food scenes in US, but there are so many countries and places where the food is just amazing.

If you ever come to Peru let me know. We are food adicts

there was that famous Louisiana stew, I vaguely remember.
looked yummy.

Trip was great. Jazz were in the game but lost, which is a selfish way of saying I enjoyed watching but also enjoyed the draft boost. We ate at a place called "Mother's" and it was unrealistically good. We caught a show at Preservation Hall, enjoyed some real real jazz. Toured one of the famed New Orleans cemeteries. An all around good time.
