Yes , the Jazz won. They've got 4 guys about 20 years old that look like they'll all end up with careers better than anything Harpring could ever dream of. BUT the Jazz didn't foul enough. The warriors committed more fouls than the Jazz. Clearly, this is a horrible turn of events. The Jazz must always be known as a dirty nasty team that thinks that the way to defend someone is to foul them a lot. It is bad enough that they aren't fouling enough, but to not foul and then win the game???!!!! This could teach the young players bad lessons. it must be stopped.

All four guys are going to average more than 17 and 7? Sign me up.
 
You mean 11.5 and 5.1.
Yes, each of these guys at 20 have more skills than Harp did in his prime, unless you think playing nasty and dirty, pushing, fighting, and fouling a lot is a skill.

Matty in his first year in utah was averaging 17.6 points per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor and 41.3 percent on three-pointers.. If the young guys can muster this then hell yeah

So Harpring couldn't dream of having his best two years?
 
Burks Hayward Kanter and Favors, all show more skills now than Harpring did in his prime. I expect any one of them to have a better career. Of course, one or two might disappoint, but barring injury, as a group they will be better players than Harping. I'm not sure what your point is. Yes, it is possible that some of those players might not be as good in their worst year as Harping was in his best year. Is that your point?

Burks might not average as many rebounds, because he plays a different position, but he is a more skilled player. All 4 of those players show promise to be better than Harpring ever was in his best years.

That you are selling Harpring short and that you are only looking at his game when he had 90 year old knees.

Which of the five players in question made the all-rookie team (or do you think Kanter and Burks will)?
 
I don't know what is so difficult about this.
You guys keep wanting to talk about what Harpring did in his best year, and act like he did that every year in his career.
Are you seriously suggesting that Harping could rebound and defend the paint as rookie as well as Favors or Kanter, or pass and handle the ball as well as a rookie as Burks and Hayward?

Harp was in the mold of a Stockton, Malon, and Horny. They played hard, and competed hard. That kind of play isn't a skill it's an attitude. It's the attitude the Jazz of the 90's had it's the attitude the bad boy Pistons had, it's winning basketball. It's why I respected Harpring and loved watching him play.

I don't think Harpring is saying the jazz should foul just to foul, but when they do foul make sure it's not just a love tap. Most players thought twice about driving through the paint against the bad boy Pistons because they new that if they did they were going to have there *** handed to them. I think this team needs to be a little dirty so they can get that edge the 90's Jazz had and the bad boys pistons.
