What's new

Sorry Jazz fans – Ben is the NBA Rookie of the Year

It's a shame we won't have Smith about for awhile, the other two meh... to be honest Ashes is the only time most of us probably care about cricket.

Nah what he did was stupid and reckless, as a society we don't punish people enough for that, I reckon the he got what he deserved, as a society we've become to permissive of **** ups.

Talk it up Ruby. You're letting that inner city Melbourne Greens politics get to you again. (Each to their own btw)
We have a football player in Australia playing while having a conviction for assault hanging over his head (and while he refuses to pay compensation) and we had a couple of players try cheating in a game.

Next time I see Rubio flop I am going to expect to see your outrage on here.

They got punished as a result of the PC police. Total joke.
Commercial decision to save face.

ICC banned them for ONE test. Faf du Plesis has been found guilty of the same offense TWICE and missed one Test match. This was a disgusting decision that was about scapegoating for the 'tone/culture' of the national team which people had decided was too full-on and unsportsmanly.

I think Warner had a brain snap based on the slut shaming his wife was going through and got the *****

The decision to punish them like this was the weakest thing I have seen in sports for a long time. I was shattered that Warner and Smith didn't appeal this arbitrary and unenforceable punishment.

Rant over...

Full disclosure I'm Australian - I don't really follow teams, more so Aussie players - so have been watching Utah games since Exum was drafted and have been devastated with his injuries over the past 4 seasons, this season I've watched tons of games from both 76ers and Jazz.

Both DM and Simmons are awesome players. Hard to compare due to different positions, body type, game styles, team methodology etc.

One interesting thing is the comparison of the conferences people bring up, it's not a debate that the East is weaker and has been for some time. An interesting stat I looked at was 76ers record vs West compared with Utah vs East, surprised me.

76ers vs West = 18-12 60%
Jazz vs East = 14-16 46%

both teams had identical records against own conference opponents 34-18 65%.

both players awesome, both teams have overachieved, go basketball.

People will pretend to be happy with your presence here. But unless you rewatch Stockton and Malone highlights each night before bed, you will be derided as an Aussie **** who shags kangaroos and/or koalos.

The one year ban is just too harsh imo.
Every test team did ball tampering and they didn't even punish their players ~ Trescothick, du plesis, atherton, tendulkar
all did it and they hardly got punished by their cricket assosiations. A 3 test matches ban is more appropriate in my opinion.

100% this

Who cares what other countries do, their standards should not be our standards, its called holding yourself to a higher standard, its called integrity, its about having principals, some things are more important than individuals, its about the good of the game and the values we have about our cricket.

Says the poll dancing consumer :) Or was it bouncer at the stripclub?

Either way, that was a whole bunch of hogwash...

Actually, it doesn't matter if you are Stockton's cousin or Malone's father in law, if you are an Aussie you WILL be derided as a kangaroo/koala shagger.
