Sorry Jazz fans – Ben is the NBA Rookie of the Year

If the east is so weak, then how come the jazz lost all its regular matches against the Atlanta hawks? The hawks had the worst record in the east this season.
What is your excuse for that ?

You say "All" as if we battled to the death day in and day out. You got me. We played Atlanta 2 times and lost both times. Good teams that play garbage teams like Atlanta use the opportunity to give their players a break from intense competition.
1st game we didn't play anyone over 30 minutes with the exception of Mitchel who reached only 32 minutes.
The 2nd game, they got us.
However we also beat a team you may have heard of, Golden State Warriors. We played them 4 times and beat them 3 of the 4.
Fool, get your mind right.

Simmons is a 54% scorer and Mitchell is a 43 % scorer (Regular season ), that is all you need to know.
Just because this is all you know, doesn't mean that I am the same "low expectation having m-f-er" like yourself.
You should know that Donovan broke the all time leading record for the most 3 pointers by any rookie ever.
Simmons, didn't make a single one, and was so bad he shot only 11 all year. This you need to know.
You also need to know that Simmons shot 56% from the free throw line. "Free" throw. This you need to know.
You also need to learn the stat, that I have forgotten more than you will ever learn. I'll take you back to the 80's homeboy. And after I introduce you to N.W.A and Run DMC, than I'll introduce you to knowledge of an NBA pioneer and shine the court with your face. Step your game up.

When they have Lebron next year, it will be all over for the rest of the league.

Sounds like you have a lot of faith in your 76'ers team. You literally just said "in not the same words" that if, I'm sorry, when they have LeBron you will then find confidence in your team that they can then win it all. You never said that next year they will win it all. You said when they have LeBron. You only have faith if you have LeBron. You are the exact same as every Golden State Warriors fan from 7 years ago. Because 7 years ago, there was no merchandise being sold. There was no optimism. When they had a super team assembled is when everybody started wearing the gear and showing off. You are the exact same as every bandwagon fan there has ever been in league history.
Jazz fans are not like you. WE have never had a championship. But day in and day out we represent our team with or without star players. We don't have the luxury of attracting free agents. Our superstars leave, and we are still there to support and represent. Our fans are true. Utah remains a team with top attendance night in and night out. We don't care if LeBron joins our team, in fact, we would rather he doesn't. I would rather never win a championship then to win it by attracting leaches. I have been a fan since 1988. And many Jazz fans have been through thick and thin. We are still here.
You will run in whichever direction the wind blows.
Jazz don't need LeBron, your 76'ers probably do, just as you said.

You might say that, but I don't recall it like that. I think it was Franklin who started posting the pro-Corbin threads, and he was back as Uncle F there for a while until he got banned. But I think you're right he is still on the board, which is why I've been thinking he is Utahjazz.

I honestly don't care who Utahjazz is, but I pray to God that he doesn't reproduce. Stupid people shouldn't breed. And I am more worried if Utahjazz has infected the world with other idiots like himself. Stupidity like that can take over like wild fire, because they usually breed with their own family (which never works out well) and people like him usually do it from a young age. Utahjazz is more than a webpage virus, he is a disease to humanity.

In my opinion Donovan Mitchell is the rookie of the year. Both players have had amazing seasons. Historic rookie seasons. Both have stat lines worthy of the award. You can argue stats all day and make good cases for either. But for me it comes down to one simple factor. Who has the more difficult role on their team? The answer in my mind is Donovan Mitchell. He the #1 scoring option on the Jazz. The leading scorer. He is the focal point of every defensive gameplan. Defenses actively scheme ways to stop him from scoring. And he scores anyway. In fact as the year wore on and gameplans against him got better, he got better. He put up even better numbers. And remember he came into this season expecting to be a defensive specialist off of the bench. He didn't expect to have the toughest role of all. And he's thriving anyway. He led the Jazz to the playoffs as the leading scorer on the team as a rookie. How many rookies have done that? Meanwhile, Ben was expected to be a facilitator in Philly's offense and that's what he was. It's so much harder to be THE guy in an offense like Donovan is. So Donovan Mitchell would get my vote. And that's taking my Jazz hat off and giving an unbiased view.

Stats say Ben is better and you can't argue with that.
70 % of unbiased neutral fans and experts would pick Simmons as the ROY. And rightly so in my opinion because Ben is better in every category, except perimeter shooting. Ben is better also in advanced stats and as well being a better defender.
(More steals and more blocks than Mitchell).
How would an unbiased fan pick mitchell before Ben as ROY when Ben is better in every category (except 3 pt shooting )?

Since Russell Westbrook averaging a trip-dub for the season, I guess u think he should be MVP?

The difference between being the #1 option where you are the focus of the entire defensive efforts, and being the 3rd option is bigger than you are seeing it. It's not just stats. Just ask Hayward or any other player that moved from supporting player to being the number 1 option and dealing with what teams do to stop you first. IMO, an unbiased fan would pick Mitchell before Ben because he did what he did while being the #1 option on a team that was expected to not make the playoffs, but won 48 games, landed a 5 seed (1 win from a 3 seed), made the most 3pt shots of any other rookie in NBA history, and did it in such a way that people are turning attention to Utah when they wouldn't bother before.

Am I saying he will win it? I'd say its 50/50, or 55/45 to Ben because of the East Coast bias. I'm just saying that's how an unbiased fan picks DM.

Lets not forget that the vast majority of NBA PLAYERS current and former picked Donovan. But yes, lets allow some journalist nerds from the East Coast who have never picked up a basketball tell us Ben is superior.

Westbrooke and Harden's stats are really close. There is nothing in it. The mvp can go to either one of them.

Harden 30.4/5.4/8.8/1.8/0.7
Total = 47.1 in 35.4 min per game

westbrooke 25.4/10.1/10.3/1.8/0.3
Total = 47.9 in 36.4 min per game

Since westbrooke won it last year and stat padded this year, they would most likely give the mvp to Harden this time.

On the other hand, Simmons and mitchell's stats are not even close. Ben's stats were substantially better during the regular season. Any unbiased judge would give the ROY award to Ben.

simmons 15.8/8.1/8.2/1.7/0.9
Total = 34.7 in 33.7 min per game

mitchell 20.5/3.7/3.7/1.5/0.3
Total = 29.7 in 33.4 min per game
