Stand Up Comedy Specials

Been playing comedy in the background while I work. Any good ones, from less known comics I should check out? I've listened to all the Chappelle, Mulaney, Louis CK etc ....

Here's a great one I listened to today. Lots of pretty short jokes, really really funny. One of the best specials I've seen in a long time.

One of the best ones.

"I have a friend who loves beer. He always want's me to go to breweries with him. I go "Why don't we just go to a bar?" "Because it's fun to see how it's made." he says. I don't care how it's made. I mean I like porn, but I don't need to go to a broken home.

Shayne Smith is a local guy who I think is pretty funny.

There is a dude named Tony Roberts who did one of the best sets I every saw on some def comedy jam thing but I watched some of his other stuff and didn't like it all.

I like jim Gaffigan.

I'ma just piggyback on top of this request; If any one knows some good books by stand-up comics, pls drop those too..

It's pretty standard that decently successful comics get offered book deals, lots of them are lacklustre but some, usually by the ones with tons of material, are gold. Plus they usually have the actual comic doing the reading for an audiobook, which is really a nice touch.

This guy is pretty funny, he's quick and transitions well.

If there is a complaint I have and this is with a lot of new comedy shows(think it started with that one blonde comedian) nowadays is they all end up doing all their jokes about sex and it starts to get tiresome after a while, like can we mix it up a bit?

I don't disagree. There seems to be a few easy joke topics. 1. Race. 2. Sex. 3. Race. 4. Sex.

I did go to a stand up show rigt before corona, Gary Gulman, and he had a joke that started right at the beginning and ended at the 45 min or so mark at the end of the set. Something about raining men. it was great and I laughed my *** off. That kind of patience is rare though.

Doug Stanhope, Stewart Lee and Frankie Boyle. All out there on the internets...

Anything from Mitch Hedberg. Ahead of his time and taken from us too soon. Brilliant, if troubled, commedian.
