The Stars opened training camp yesterday with two of our rookies and our three two ways present. Some players of interest: Romeo Landford who was a lottery pick by Ainge. Chris Smith of UCLA who was projected to be a lottery pick before a knee injury. CJ Elleby who was a mid second round pick of the Blazers in 2020 and played decently for them and got in a couple of playoff games. There is a Georgia Tech point guard that put up Keyonte like stats in Vegas and outscored everyone else on the Jazz roster while playing for Portland. All of our Exhibit 10 guys that played in Vegas. Maybe the most interesting nomad is a 6'9"235 lbs guy that played for UConn, New Mexico, Arkansas and East Carolina. He had a 26 point 13 rebound game in the Mountain West Conference tournament for New Mexico. The Stars play a preseason game Nov 5 and start the season Nov 11.

The Stars' 18-man roster includes two returning Utah Jazz Two-Way Players, Johnny Juzang and Micah Potter, along with the addition of guard Josh Christopher as the NBA and G League added a third two-way position for the 2023-24 season. The Utah Jazz have also assigned their rookies Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh to the Stars for camp.

Returning from last year's team, Isaiah Miller, Eli Cain, CJ Elleby, and Chris Smith join Utah Jazz affiliate players Michael Devoe, Keshawn Justice, Taevion Kinsey, Romeo Langford, and Nick Ongenda. In addition to Local Tryout Player Vance Jackson Jr., the 2023 NBA G League Draft picks Karolis Lukosiunas and Isaac Johnson round out the Stars' roster

Hoping Chris Smith is past his injuries. Intriguing talent, but was never quite sure his sense of the game was NBA caliber.

In the game the Kings announcers noted that the Kings just traded Trey Burke for a couple of players. Stockton had a player Jaylen Nowell that averaged 10.6 ppg for the Wolves last season. He might be a useful pickup.

nowell is definitely a nba player. just not sure the jazz need to add another mediocre guard to the glut of guards they already have.
