I think u are associating athleticism solely with verticality?
I understand in basketball parlance that is the primary way we think of it..
But athleticism is also, first step, speed. And please, get over those predraft combine numbers. Look at his DNA - his sister was freakishly gifted too.

Dante is quick, but do not try to sell his athleticism. He is average athlete at best, weak and with beyond average vertical jumping ability.

Exum is average athletically when compared with other guys in the NBA. DM is the superior athlete. Exum has unique athletic attributes.

Ill Ignore the Embiid attempt because it obviously messed with his timing but I agree, In Dantes 1st good stretch at the start of the season I noticed that he looked more explosive vertically.

I actually went back earlier in the year and watch his youth tapes. Dante had far more bounce back then and a much smoother looking jumper. Im not 100% sold he completely trusts his body yet.

Vertically Donovan can jump higher. To say Dante is average is a absolute joke. He's jump is good. The speed of the his jump is extremely good to. Some people can jump high but the speed of the jump isn't good. Donovan is stronger and jumps higher. Dante is faster in every way.

dude i think his vertical is inconsistent Every now and then he really gets up but equally some times he struggles to dunk

To me the most explosive Exum has ever looked in his time in the NBA was during his 3rd season after the ASB where both him and Hayward decided they wanted to dunk on everyone for a bunch of games.

edit: 2nd/3rd season, whatever you want to call the season after his ACL tear
