What's new

Steph Curry?

Ok then you are on crack. I mean you do get news in Korea right? You have the internet obviously. You somehow believe that Curry and his rookie scale contract is burdening the Warriors so terribly that they will give up one of the NBA's young stars for cap space and junk?

No I don't believe that at all. Try to wrap your mind around this one for a second, the Warriors have openly stated that they want to move Curry... So if you're going to move him and you know you don't have a chance to even think about the playoffs, a large expiring contract plus maybe a draft pick or possibly another assett would be very beneficial to a young team trying to build for the future. Especially when considering they have openly stated they are building around Ellis, not Curry.

The Jazz drafted Curry's dad the traded him away. I don't think he ever played for them and they spent the next 12 years looking for a 2 gaurd.

Let me guess...you were in diapers or non-existant in 1986. Dell Curry (Steph Curry's father), played in 67 games for the Jazz his rookie season. The following season he was involved in a trade to Cleveland that landed the Jazz Daryl Dawkins and Dinner Bell Mel Turpin.

Jazz really don't have anything they'd be willing to give that the Warriors are looking for. A nice idea, but I think it will stay just that.

A few funny posts in this thread.

Can you imagine if we could have swung a trade for Curry? We would have had to give up Deron, but in hindsight that a no brainer.

I don't remember the Warriors ever shopping him though. But I bet if we would have offered Deron they probably would have taken it.

A Warriors fan used to come around here, and mentioned with almost certainly no authority that EITHER Ellis OR Curry was on the block and that there was interest in Al "I did nothing but poison this franchise with sugar and absolutely waste everyone's time" Jefferson.

If I really thought there was anything to that, then that would be keeping me up at night for many years to come.

The Warriors would've been the dumbest franchise on earth to get rid of Curry... No substance to this. Anyone that thought AK would've been enough for Curry probably was doing some hard drugs. Hence, why they're not with us no more.
