It helps to have the context. Greg was asking David Stern if he could be on a number of committees and boards and that was Sterns response. Greg was probably ticked that he had wasted $12.50 on Sterns dinner at Chuck-o-rama.
The real story today is not anything in particular that Greg said. The story is that the owner who has been media shy to the point that he is widely criticized by fans for not caring or speaking about his team, called a press summitt 2 days before the draft.
This in the same month that Greg apologizes to Karl, Jerry rejoins the team, and the Jumbotron is replaced in a hastily called press conference featuring some fairly poor (possibly rushed?) renderings.
This is either Dennis Lindsey and Jazz listening to their fan's complaints from last season, or setting the stage for something big that they need some good will to make it through.
