Nope. I don't care who's right. I haven't seen much more than a couple of dudes who apparently don't like each other argue about nothing in particular.

If you're being trolled, the best strategy is to report it to the mod staff. We can look into it and decide if there's a problem. A bad strategy is to start a thread calling another poster out. I have stated this before but, as a mod, I am not inclined to patrol the board. I don't come here looking for additional work. Unless something is a flagrant and egregious violation of the rules, I tend to not worry about it until it is brought to the mod's doorstep. So, if you feel you have a legitimate gripe, I would suggest going that route.
 
I started this thread to divert Stoked's trolling of me from mucking up other threads, which I have already explained, so I think this was not such a bad strategy. There has been a large reduction in fights between me and stoked in other threads in the past 2 or 3 days, which I think is a good thing for the board. I'm not sure why anyone would want to spend much time in this thread. I've tried to keep it boring.

I have reported instances with other posters in the past, and never got any message indicating that anyone even took a look at what I had reported.

With regard to stoked, there are hundreds of posts that consists of trolling. Should I report each one individually?
Should I write a detailed explanation for each report?

Everything that is reported is reviewed, without exception. No report is closed until there is agreement from no less than 3 moderators. I would strongly suggest you do not start submitting numerous individual reports (trust me, this ground is well trodden). If you have an example that you feel most precisely supports your claim, submit that and it will be reviewed. Abuse of the reporting system can/will warrant action against the reporting party.

Ya, you will get a backseat moderating infraction like I got. I think they just made that one up though.
 
So it is worse than I thought. I figured you'd just ignore me. But if I am trolled by a pattern stalker, and make multiple reports, not only will the stalker get nothing or a slap on the wrist, but I would probably get sanctioned as much or more than the troller. This after spending a ton of time researching the trolling and writing it up. This is just more of what the troller wants, to waste my time and annoy me as much as possible, and get off on it.

Good to know, before I waste a lot of time on that.

A fair measure of stoked's trolling would require an extensive review of hundreds of posts, which is not going to happen.

I would prefer to get him to agree to a mutual ignore status, as I stated.

This is also conjecture.

I gave you a pretty comprehensive explanation of available recourse. You can decide what you want to do from this point. I am willing to help, but I am done allowing you to troll me.

At the end of the day we are just a family of trolls. Some of us are just more clever while some are just...... well they try.
 
I don't think I was trolling you, maybe we have a different definition of trolling. I notice that this is the second time you made a point of telling me that what I am saying is conjecture, after you know this word bothers me, so whatever, i won't get into more details on what is right or wrong. No one cares about that.

From what i have seen, I have no confidence in the desire of the the mods to reduce trolling on these boards, in general, and especially in my case, reinforced given that you have shown in this thread that you are already siding against me, so again , thanks for the heads up on that.

How does one properly reduce trolling? Do we need to appoint a troll hunter to the board?
