Summer League Notes And Discussion

I dont see Mitchell playing much PG this year but maybe I am off. I also dont see him being better than Neto or Exum off the bat. Next year? Maybe

Neto blows. I'll cry if Mitchell is not already better than Neto.

People have high expectations for rookies, for some odd reason. People are expecting Mitchell to start or be our primary backup for any position is a little extreme. Most rookies are a liability on the court early. Maybe he is the exception but I would not bet on it. Hopefully if Mitchell isnt a star his rookie year people wont have given up on him by next season when he is the same age as Exum, 21.

Exum is the primary backup (to Rubio). Neto is a 3rd stringer. A sucky one. I'm pretty sure Mitchell will be more of a net positive even as a rookie. But I guess we'll see.

I hope he is. I hope Mitchell establishes himself as the backup SG.

I also think Neto is a decent #3 PG.

I like Bam, but over the years i've learned to take with a grain of salt individual performances in SL that include a ton of FTs. Officiating is terrible and guys don't know how to defend w/out fouling. Having said that, dude still goes 8-14 FGs and 11 rebs even without the FTs. Excellent for Bam and Leaf for that matter.
