So if I tell you that John Doe touched me 30 years ago, and that Jack, Joe, Jennifer, and Jason were there too, you’d believe me? That makes sense. Now what if Jack, Joe, Jennifer, and Jason all said it didn’t happen? Would you still believe me? Oh but wait! Jerry said that Julius told him about that story too. Ok, now that sounds more believable. Wait...what do you mean Julius says he knows nothing about it? That...hmmm. And I was calling people around the last few weeks because I wasn’t sure who did it? You would still believe me?

I don’t doubt somebody did something to Ramirez like what she is describing. But the best supporting evidence she has is a second hand story that the first hand denies. And that’s despite many names first hand witnesses. In any situation, legal or not, it isn’t enough.
You're missing a few important details in your hypothetical. In this scenario Jack Joe Jennifer and Jason were cheering on the touching, so they may not be truthful.

Also lets say Jerry told me both the time and the place John touched you, and it just so happens so be the same time and place you told me it happenned.

This combined with the fact that false accusations are less likely than previously unreported true accusations means yeah, I'm going to believe you. Not to mention that not only did you tell me this about John, you put it in a sworn statement and asked to speak to the FBI about it.

Y'all don't believe the world stage is all a show and we're the audience? That there is not a deep state that hasn't infiltrated both parties and showcase deceptions with our "free independent media?"

How about this tidbit, guess who was a director of Bush Jrs midland oil company earning I think it was a 125K or 150k check a year? None other than the supposed mortal enemy of Republicans. Anyone want to guess?

George Soros.

They hide behind many veils. Snakes they are. . Factions within our government/banking system and the world government really are at power grab war with one another , the USA vs Russia is a false narrative. It's good vs evil underneath it all under many disguises.

I don't believe any group of people can control history to their liking. Small conspiracies are possible, and happen, but controlling the course of events to the degree that the flow of history is channeled to whatever the predetermined desired outcome happens to be is virtually impossible.

The story is very possible. But even the accuser wasn’t sure it was Kavanaugh. When the best evidence is a lady who couldn’t remember who did it and was drinking heavily at the time, and a second hand story that the first hand person denies, it is not enough.

Its not enough to be certain, but it's enough to doubt Kavanaugh's innocence.

It's a shame the FBI's 'investigation' was so shallow, we're really not in a different place than we were last week.

It was never going to be an investigation and everybody tried to tell y’all that.

The absence of evidence is not proof of guilt.

Can’t believe I have to say that.

If all it takes to doubt innocence is a claim with absolutely zero corroborating evidence, then we have failed as a people.

Hardly. We're talking about bestowing a great amount of power and honor on this man. If this confirmation falls flat, he'll be just fine, we won't have failed ****.

We're failing as a people every day when we don't take assault survivors seriously, and are more concerned with protecting men from the specter of false accusation.

Well, that doesn't change that it should have been. But yeah, it's pretty obvious it was meant to provide cover for Republicans voting yes, rather than an honest attempt at the truth.

From the very beginning the FBI said they don’t investigate these things, they just provide interviews and background.

Oh right. If he falls flat, or if he succeeds, he’ll have the accusations of sexual assault for the rest of his life. That’s not ‘nothing’.

This isn’t about protecting men more than women, it’s about needing evidence and factual data. Some people aren’t willing to throw away innocence because of an accusation. John Adams has a good quote on that from way back when.

It's not much either tbh. It's not like his peers seem too worked up about it, he'll still be a federal judge with more power prestige and income than the vast majority of people. I don't understand why anyone would be expected to feel bad for him.

You are just playing with semantics at this point. I'm not saying I expected a criminal investigation. But come on, they didn't even interview Ford or Kavanaugh himself.

Sure they gave testimony to the Senate, but no one honestly thinks five minute rounds of questioning interspersed with Senatorial grandstanding is a substitute for FBI questioning.
