Well in my opinion, they're are big things on the horizon and forces (not just democrats) are purposely tying up the senate and supreme court for long as possible. That's my opinion - y'all think that's impossible? certainly if you're rational you can give a certain % that this is the case. 5%? 15%?
 
Democrats are trying to get him to call for an FBI investigation to clear his name. He can't do that and be confirmed before the midterms. If the Senate flips, he won't be confirmed. So he is in a tough situation. He looks guilty by not calling for the investigation, and he looks guilty by not answering questions directly about his his drinking.

I don't agree, actually. The FBI investigation would take only a few days. The midterms are over a month away. The FBI could have investigated these claims in the eleven days that have passed since they first became known.
 
Yet all three people she named as being present say they don't remember any of this or anything remotely close to it, even Ford's close friend? That's not fishy to you @JazzGal ?

If they can do it that quickly, I have no idea, why not? I thought I had heard the investigation could take months.

So... Let me guess this straight. The Republicans bring in a prosecutor to grill Dr Ford and don't engage with her at all, but when it's Kavenaughs turn, the one who is being accused of the assault, they suddenly find their voices and act like character witnessess for him. What an absolute sham.
 
They already submitted legally binding statements that don't remember anything about this. What more is there to ask?
 
Seems the person who would be of great interest is the one who drove her home, certainly if it was as traumatic as shes making it out to be she'd be distraught and crying uncontrollably or in a state of shock.. Conveniently she can't remember who this person might be, nor has anyone stepped forward. Another fact that stinks to high heaven.
