There are differences. Ellison's misconduct is in the midst of domestic disputes, not predatory behavior. I believe Ellison has asked for an investigation (as Franken did). That said, I believe Ellison's accusers, and that he should be moved from his DNC post. The voters will decide to put him in office or not.

I'm not sure what's going on there. He is apparently alibied at the time he supposedly propositioned Falzi.

I read Broaddick's account of the meeting with Hillary, and can understand why she thought Hillary might have been referring to Bill's attack, but Hillary also might not have been referring to that. Hillary seems to have believe Bill's protestations of innocence, otherwise. Love can leave you blinded.

Agreed.

Hard to say.
Regarding Cisneros

On one point we agree. Kavanaugh's name should be withdrawn.

We strongly disagree on Feinstein's handling. It's much more than sour grapes. Her actions unnecessarily dragged an entire nation through the mud.

Entire nation? That seems a bit hyperbolic

Entire nation? That seems a bit hyperbolic
I'm not even sure what that is supposed to mean. Like, sure you can be upset with her for using this to her parties political advantage (even if that's far from proven and the blame for that surely should lie on the party that nominated someone so ill suited for the position), but how did that amount to dragging the nation through the mud?

You gotta lay of the alt right talking points man. There was no 'lie' about her being unable to fly. She has anxiety with air travel (might have something to do with there not being exits, wonder why that might be?).

The story I was hearing, from numerous news sources, was that she could not fly because of how the attempted rape had impacted her. Turns out that she flies quite frequently. That's why I call it a lie. I didn't say that it was Ford who made this claim, but someone on her team definitely did. Additionally, Ford claimed in sworn testimony that she was unaware of the offer that the committee had made to fly to California and interview her there. It's impossible to be sure why this information that practically everyone in America knew had never been transmitted to Ford, but I don't think it takes a rocket surgeon to speculate that it might have been because Ford's team is in favor of delays.

Washington (CNN)Some conservatives are citing Christine Blasey Ford's fear of flying to raise doubts about her credibility.

The argument goes like this: Ford, who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, has told friends that the alleged encounter has left her feeling uncomfortable -- even struggling -- when she is in enclosed spaces without an "escape route" or more than one exit door, such as an airplane.
The fear of flying has been cited as a reason why Ford didn't testify sooner about the allegations. But the California professor still manages to travel for work and vacations, as Rachel Mitchell, the counsel representing Republicans at Thursday's hearing, pointed out.
"May I ask, how did you get to Washington?" Mitchell, an Arizona prosecutor, inquired.
"In an airplane," Ford replied.
"I ask that because it has been reported by the press that you would not submit to an interview with the committee because of your fear of flying. Is that true?" Mitchell said.
Ford said she "was hoping" that the committee would come to her, but added, "I realized that was an unrealistic request."
The psychology professor told Mitchell she was finally able to muster the courage to fly to Washington, D.C. from her home in California.

"That was certainly what I was hoping was to avoid, having to get on an airplane, but I eventually was able to get up the gumption with the help of some friends and get on the plane," Ford said Thursday.
Mitchell later asked, "In fact, you fly fairly frequently for hobbies and you had to fly for your work, is that true?"
"Correct, unfortunately," Ford.
Ford said that she comes to Delaware once a year to visit family. She also confirmed that she has traveled by airplane to Hawaii, Costa Rica, South Pacific Islands and French Polynesia.
"It's easier for me to travel going that direction when it's a vacation," Ford said.
Some Kavanaugh supporters have pointed to this exchange to cast doubts on Ford's story.

Not entirely. It is anecdotal I know, but my circle of friends in Germany have been very interested in this whole thing, and have asked me lots of questions about it. On the whole their attitude is that it is all a joke and makes them wonder how American can be called a super-power when they allow a circus around an event like this. They feel (on the whole) that it reflects poorly on us as a nation, so this isn't so far fetched. And man I (as the one in the group living in the US) am the brunt of so many jokes and quips right now, everything from if we have to talk about our dating lives while we were in high school to get a job or buy a car or whatever, to is everyone going to be required to wear clown makeup since "Trump's America" is a circus or sideshow. On the more serious side they are shocked that we can drag someone like Ford through the mud ourselves given what her allegations are. So yeah the entire thing reflects poorly on us, at least in my limited window on international opinions on the matter.

But how is that Feinstein's fault? She didn't assault Ford, nor did she nominate Kavanaugh for the SC. I don't get it.

Why do you ascribe any part of an argument you want to anything anyone says? Try NOT putting words in people's mouths maybe.

The only thing I commented on was that the whole debacle is making us look bad on the international stage. I think there is plenty of blame to go around, but the biggest issue is that we are not treating the allegations with the due diligence they deserve.

Having anxiety about an activity =//= not being able to do that activity. Anxiety can vary in severity based on any number of factors as well. Thats a really weak attempt to discredit someone's credibility.
Ok. Why did you direct that at me? I just googled the thing because I had not heard that and posted something to expand on that one point of discussion. I made no judgments about it. Man you are so quick to ascribe intent where none is given or even implied. I even posted an article that largely is critical of the claims being made by repubs on her fear of flying. When your only tool is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail.

The original statement BP made was that Feinstein's actions dragged this country through the mud. That's what Fish responded to, and your response read to me as a rebuttal of that. Sorry if I misread you.

I was responding to the article you posted. I didn't say anything about you specifically. Chill out man.
