T-Wolves Watch Thread

Seems like this could be a year things go wrong for the Wolves given the age of Conley/Gobert. Every year I watch Gobert I can tell he's getting less and less athletic. Conley is coming off a career low year for FG%. Things could get hard for them if they have to play a lot of minutes.
This is wishful thinking at its finest. The Wolves are not particularly old: any decline of Conley and Gobert would be offset by the expected improvements from their young core players (Ant, McDaniels, Reid) and their second-year players (Dillingham, Clark).

They are actually pretty deep: Johnny Juzang played consistent and pretty meaningful minutes for the Jazz and now the Wolves have him as a two-way player.

I think it is about time that all these fervent dreams about Ainge's war chest of future Timberwolves and Cavs picks died a quiet death. It is pretty clear by now that all of them will be the same late-20s picks.

Do you need to eat something to get that blood sugar up?

Two of them are already converted into the Phoenix 2031 pick, and 2029 is still quite far in the future.

They also lost some veteran depth with the departure of NAW. They will really have to rely on some combination of Shannon, Dillingham, and Clarke to really step up and deliver the minutes that will be missed from NAW. Beringer has looked good in pre-season, but he's still extremely raw and might not be ready to step up for regular minutes if something happens to one of the bigs.

Randle shot 34% from 3 last year, but historically he has always had a shooting regression after a season with a good %.

The Wolves have also been very injury fortunate since the Gobert trade. Maybe that changes this year. The Wolves coming out the gate struggling with possibly the group of play-in contenders like the Kings/Spurs/Blazers/Pelicans starting hot could make things spicy for the Wolves this season and give us a lottery pick to swap (so extra odds for a top 5 pick).
How does the twolves sucking this season benefit us?
