Dr. Jones

In pursuit of #9

New measurements released today. Watch the vid ... Terrence is now a 6'9 252lb SF.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YZoxsmer1U

Either. However, most everyone agrees he can play the SF position more than adequately and causes major mismatches. He can obviously play PF, but he's got all the skills to not be considered a tweener.

I think there are only 2 SF's over 250 in the NBA, Lebron and Artest (off the top of my head).

Be interesting to see him play this coming year. He'll play the SF, PF, and a few spot minutes at center.

I can't wait to see how much Jones has improved. He really is one of the more intriguing prospects of 2012.

You're obviously a pansy. I found nothing risky at all about that rebound.

Surely you jest. He jumped, HIGH .. and outstretched his arms to their fullest length .. hope he's got one heck of a life insurance policy!

Me = clown (I know)

I like that he is a lefty and he seems to have good handle, and nice form on his shot. Good jumping ability and good range on his shot. Things i dont like: It seems like after alot of his baskets (even somewhat easy/routine) he doesn't turn and run back on D. He like to stare down his man and kind of bounce backwards down the court. Also doesn't get much lift on his jumper. And whats up with a highlight reel that includes like 10 free throw shots. give me a break who wants to watch free throw shots in a highlight reel. coulnd't they find enough real highlights of him to make a full video so they had to put a bunch of free throws.

PKM, what role does he play for Kentucky this year? I know Cal asked him to take a lesser role towards the end of last season but with him being a soph is he going to be featured more on the offensive end more or are the new wave of super freshmen going to be featured?

Thats tough to balance when you have a roster full of NBA level talent and they all want to be showcased.

No kidding. But all four of their major talents are good passers which should help balance it out.

Cal didn't necessarily ask him to play a lesser role last year. He asked him to play within the team concept/offense. He was unstoppable offensively but it was at the expense of the team coming together. This year he will be asked to be more assertive/agressive. He'll play the SF through C positions and will be told to rebound, pass, score, and drive .. and Cal will sit him if he fails to perform in ANY category .. because he's more than capable.

Its not the height, its the angle. Big men jumping into crowds out of control and off balance might as well take a hammer to their knees and save the embarrassment of having an acl blowout or level 3 ankle sprain during a live game.
Talk to the KY training staff if you want to learn more.

He wasn't out of control or off balance. I'll add that he also wasn't in some position where he'd be undercut, which is scary as ****. He just split a bunch of guys and jumped high as hell, his arms extended. Nothing more, nothing less.

I like T. Jones. He rebounds, plays position defense, is big enough not to get pushed around, and seems to get involved in important plays. He could be a beast.

I wanted Knight at 3 and T. Jones at 12 this year, but he decided not to come out. I would have been real happy with that draft, but if we get him next year I am good.

Yeah, it's the perfect time to have two possible lottery picks. I mean, TJ is probably only the FOURTH best sf next year.
