I was one of those who was furious about the Hayward pick back in the 2010 draft... I am glad that he proves me wrong. Now I want more players like him on this team.
 
I remember during the summer league I compared him to Horny and what do you know, Kobe is now doing the same thing ...

Who are these guys? First win at Lakers in 5 years >>>> low teens draft slot position.

Huge game for Hayward to build on in the offseason. That will pay more dividends than a draft slot.

Best ex Butler player around. Man/child.

Eh. I don't think it will make any difference. Only team who could really pass the Jazz is Indiana who is 2 games worse (with WAS,ATL,NYK,@ORL left) and would have to win 3 out of those 4 games and the Jazz lose out or close. Not very likely. I'd rather see the Lakers lose.
 
Too bad Hayward isn't hot enough for man crushing.

He set off a chemical reaction last night that I can't stop yet.

I thought it was pretty great D all night by Hayward... I was so afraid Corbin was going to put CJ on Kobe in the fourth when he checked back in, if he would have, the Jazz would have lost the game for sure.

Damn skippy 'about'... Not only did I start a thread about him early on in his sophomore year at Butler as a guy the Jazz should target (on the old board that crashed), but I was jumping for joy when we actually drafted him. He is going to be a great one for us. Absolute 'team' guy who is as skilled as any young wing in the league. As he gets stronger and adds some of that natural 'old-man' weight, he's going to continue to get better.
