Agree to disagree just totally confused as to how you can think that they have no intelligence.

As I said, I would have to watch it again. I just seem to remember thinking that the monsters were not very smart, just big with powers that grew increasingly worse. Like when that one monster just swam away rather than destroying the Jäger when it had the chance. The Jäger was disabled momentarily or something and instead of just ripping it apart the kaiju just swam away. If it were intelligent it would have finished the job then and there. Deuz ex monster. So many things like this to build fake tension.

Anyway, we can agree to disagree. I liked watching the fighting parts, but the story was poorly constructed and executed.

Pacific Rim is probably one of the most terrifying movie I've seen for quite some time. Those Kaiju were just so life-like and when it bit off the head of one of the Jaegers right at the beginning and killing off one of the drivers... wow that was terrifying.

are gi joe and transformers on your list too? they were soooooo scary.

Dude. Blair Witch and The Grudge ruined me for months and months. Because of them, I don't watch scary movies anymore.

The fourth kind was very freaky. I think they could have tweaked a few scenes to make it even scarier but it was pretty well done.
