When I first moved to Utah, I worked at Lambs Grill downtown SLC. They served a Manhattan clam chowder and it was the first time I tried it. Over the couple years I worked there, it became one of my favorite style soups.I am the polar opposite. My mom has a cream-based new England style clam chowder recipe that's the best I've ever had. Hands down. And in general I prefer new England style. Second is clear broth. We make that style from time to time. Last is the Manhattan style. Just doesn't do it for me when it comes to clam chowder.
