Manu in his prime, in the 2007 season

Not NEARLY as black-and-white as you are making it.

Did manu have corbin for a coach?

I like my message boards like I like my women...clean and simple (minded).

Agreed

Like i said before..... burks started and his minutes went way up.... in my book that is proof that when he starts he plays more.

Also look at trey, hayward, and favors minutes as starters...... hell even look at kanters minutes as a starter.

Pretty black and white really

I've gone over this in another thread, but the reality is that under Corbin, bench players play less minutes. He doesn't sub at the six minute mark consistently, he routinely subs the starters back in to finish the 2nd quarter and the 4th quarter. If Corbin would fix those things, you're right it wouldn't matter if he starts, but until that happens, and he isn't getting the 33 - 35 minutes he should be getting, I will keep saying he needs to start.

Was trying to quote this with my previous post but for some strange reason it quoted some random post lol.

How does this address the point that i was trying got make to seattle?

Because seattle said tha CORBIN doesnt substitute in such a way that a sixth man is going to get the samw minutes as favors burke and hayward.

Just cause pop does that doesnt mean anything in the discussion of alec burks

Read this post.... first sentence

All I've got to say is Alec Burks has that potential to be something serious. He could realy become Dwayne Wade like if he develops a mid range game.

Just saw this game tonight. All I can say is Burks can do things that very few NBA players can do. Whether he can do them consistently is another question, but wow does he have upside.

Thanks for posting those highlights. I'm even more convinced that the Jazz need to have all of the Core5 start the rest of the season. Burks looked phenomenal against Denver. They simply did not have an answer for him. Since it looks like the tank is dead in the water, I'd really love to see how these guys can do playing significant minutes together.

In my mind, you should want to have your best 5 out on the court together as much as possible. Favors has established himself at center. Let Kanter extend himself out a little more and start for a change. Slide Hayward over to SF and get Burks into the starting lineup. Marvin can sub as a stretch 4 when you need to rest Kanter or go with a different matchup. Marvin, Jefferson, Evans, Garrett and JLIII should be fine off the bench. You can always keep starters on the court with the subs, but I think that it's time to see how all the pieces fit together and if there's a future for these kids on the same team.

love burks, but no way in hell he will ever be near wade's level. not even close.

He might be better right now than d wade was at 22 years old though
