What's new

The Dark Horse: Udoka Azubukie

I see him as a guy who can play 12-15 minutes of pretty efficient and fun basketball every game. Can maybe start and be like a Jonas type player without the outside game. He always seems to play very efficient 1st quarters before doing little the rest of the game (at least he used to, these past couple of years he's been different).

I wish, though not really because I wanna tank the **** out of it. But yeah, really doubtful with the injuries. What was his major injury last season and what’s his timetable for return?

Maybe a younger core around him will make him feel more comfortable. I'm assuming him and Agbaji know each other.
I was hoping that a prior relationship would have helped him last year (with him and Forrest from AAU circuit, I believe). But apparently it didn't.

The real question is how good is Kessler going to be? I'm not sure if our starting center of the future is currently on the roster, though.
The concept of starting center in the modern NBA is overrated. GSW just won it with Kevon Looney as their starting center. A washed 33 yr old Brook Lopez won it with Bucks the year before. The bar isn't that high.

C’mon guys! Remember a guy named Quin Snyder? He did nothing to instill confidence in this kid shipping him off to G Leage Siberia, signing Whiteside to take his minutes. Up until Snyder had to sit out for a spell and Doke had some real nice productive minutes under Alex Jensen.
