Daytoeney 500, baby! I really need to go one of these big NASCAR events sometime just to see what it's all about. Maybe it's like baseball, where it totally sucks watching it on T.V., but it's actually pretty cool when actually sitting in a nice ballpark relaxing. Or maybe it's just a good excuse to throw a redneck party.

I doubt even this. I have at tented a few motorsport races, and they're on the stale side usually unless you are into cars. i can't imagine watching a bunch of cars turning left for 500 laps in blistering weather. My definition of hell.

Agree. There is almost no chance the actual racing part is that cool. I don't doubt that hanging out in the surrounding environs with a mass of rednecks for just the one time experience of it all would be highly entertaining though.
