Danny never would have picked that up. It's not catastrophic at all but its another dumb move for no damn reason.
 
I fully expect them to waive Oni... if anything else just to save some money and shuffle through 10 day guys for a while until they are forced to sign someone. It likely becomes Forrest unless something good turns up.
 
I saw a list that is over a hundred players that are non-guaranteed. Surely there must be someone better out of that stack but that person would probably turn into the next Shaq.

It will be whatever is the cheapest option. If promoting Forrest to a contract is cheaper than signing some rookie UFA then they will do it. If the other is cheaper, they'll do that. I don't expect them to reward Forrest. I think the FO probably wants less of Forrest and more of Butler tbh (which would make sense why they didnt promote him earlier).

Forrest has already been rewarded plenty... the 10 day dance is cheaper... making a 1 for 2 trade is the cheapest.
