To be serious for a moment, and I'm not kidding you, that 3:10 was awesome. I literally cried. Ya, I'm a bitch, whatever. Not sure why, but man that just gave me a flood of memories of my childhood and all of the amazing things that I got to do and see. I actually thought about how sad it is that my daughters will never have someone like Mr. Rogers to watch and learn from. Instead, they have Yo Gaba Gaba and Dora the friggin Explorer. Gone are the days of Mr. Wizard, Mr. Rogers, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Sesame Street, and The Safety Kids. /long dramatic sigh (I actually just did this)

anyhow, Trout and all, you are so right - and I'm so glad my kids (who are all in their 20's now) grew up when they did.

one of my favorite Mr. Rogers episodes was when they toured a crayon factory, it was so cool to see all those colors moving down the conveyor belt

"How People Make Crayons" video

it's pretty old, I wonder how many PEOPLE still work in the crayon factory? It's probably all robotic by now.

/sigh
