Congrats on knowing Oden would suffer the worst run of injuries in NBA history?
Would have been very good without all the injuries.
Where did I say I predicted an injury?

If you think the Jazz are as bad as the 6ers you are out of your ****ing mind.
I get it, I want the Jazz to tank too, but the reality is they just aren't as bad as a few teams out there. Just like everyone can't be the best, everyone can't be the worst either.
What??? Did I say that? Perhaps it's my broken english or just you. There is no way we are as bad as the 76ers. They are atrocious, unwatchable. I was pointing out that we are not tanking as hard as we could. Quite the opposite from the 76ers, who has done everything possible to be horrible. We have talent but are a weak team overall and are coached by corbin. We should aim at finishing with the 4th or 5th worst record to give us the best chance in the lottery.
This.
Forget philly and millwaukee.
our competition is lakers, boston, kings, detroit, new orleans, and to a lesser extent orlando. (Maybe we can catch the magic if we tank hard enough)
I would love to see more of rush, lucas, biedrins, gobert, clarke, etc.
Maybe corbin is fighting for his job so he wont do it. If thats the case then maybe fire corbin and hire someone who will tank.
If thats not possible then have the medical staff tell corbin that a couple of our main players cant play due to injuries/sickness each game.
I think the jazz have held favors and hayward out of games this season that they could have played in..... now i want to see them do it more often/consistently.
I can see this playing out a lot like the 2005 draft, in which there were four star players (Andrew Bogut, Marvin Williams - HA!, Deron Williams, Chris Paul) and we ended up with the 5th pick before targeting Williams and moving up for him.
Realistically, we will likely end up in the 6-8 range barring a miracle on lottery night. But the beauty of our current situation is that we have the same luxury we had then, which is (hopefully) the ability to cherry pick "our guy" and go get him. We have a 2nd 1st round pick, plenty of young talent, and an ungodly amount of cap room. Wiggins or Embiid might be out of reach but I think it's feasible for us to move up from 7-8 to 3-5 if we fall in love with Parker, Exum, Randle, etc.
Wiggins/Parker is best case scenario in my eyes, but I'm liking the idea of Exum more and more.
We all know the draft reality: there are 5 certain future stars in the 2014 draft
and the talent drops sharply afterwards.
The worst thing Utah can do is get stuck in mediocrity limbo - especially in a Western Conference where it could damn them to missing the playoffs even with a respectable record. This team needs a jolt and if it means risking losing a ****-ton of games, so be it. We're not going anywhere anyway.
Yup. Since 1990, if you don't have Jordan, Hakeem, Shaq, LeBron, Kobe or Duncan, you aren't winning a title. Crazy. 4 of those 6 were #1 picks. One was a #3, and one was the first HS ever taken (i.e., if that draft was redone today, not knowing their futures, Kobe would go #1, Iverson #2).
That means that 5 of the 6 were #1 picks, and the only other one (Jordan) was taken behind one of those #1 picks.
It is literally impossible to win a title in the NBA. The sad thing is, only SA was smart enough to realize that and do everything they could to get Duncan.
It's why so many teams are tanking this year. There is another one of "those" players in this draft. LA, Boston, Philly all realize that the only way to win a title is to get that guy. The next shot NBA teams will have at adding a player who can win a title after this year is 2017 (excluding whoever gets LeBron).
Sad.

And yet he was picked ahead of and projected ahead of Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and others in a pretty stacked draft. In this draft like others have said there will most likely be a huge bust. And there will be multiple guys going 6+ that end up better than 1-3 of the top 5 picks. This draft is being hyped like crazy and I don't believe it will live up to it. If there is more than 1 franchise player in this draft I'll be surprised.I guess i was wrong about oden.
Was marvin a guaranteed certain star? I dont think he even started for his college team iirc
