What's new

The Jazz are missing a piece on defense, and that piece is Andrei Kirilenko.

As I have said before, I would have no problems watching Kirilenko perform each game:

I'd like to bitch slap the next person that says the word tank.
Tanking isn't the answer anymore than AK is.
You need a balance. I don't want the KIDS to be in a bummed out loosing atmosphere.
I want them to LEARN to compete just as much as learn the game.

Time to move on donchya think? AK was good but not thee the solution. These guys have to learn how to play D at some point, why not now?

The Jazz haven't been able to play decent D outside of Kirilenko and Millsap since Stockton, Malone, and Russell left.

I think Evans can quickly come in and replace AK's defensive presence. In just a few minutes tonight he blocked two shots. Had he gotten more burn in the 2nd half, I have no doubt he would have continued to disrupt things.

AK's length, pure and simple, made up for many deficiencies on the Sloan-led Jazz on D. Offensively, his best skill was as a passer. Losing him certainly weakens us until the current team adjusts to life w/o AK. The talent is there now; they just need time on the court together to learn how to function together as a team.

Exactly, 'revolution'; AK is in decline, can't stay healthy, and wants too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$; the whole league knows it...

His best skill is passing? Really? ? ? Anyone agree that his best skill is passing? How can you ignore his scrappy defense?
He does get injured a little more than normal, but its because of his hard nosed defense: Injuries are gonna happen. He doesn't collect injuries from passing the ball intensely. Even though it is his greatest skill! Good grief.
