Even if we get high picks. This trade is horrible. Harris is a role player. Favors has literally done nothing. In NCAA or NBA. Yes, he is young, but he has no accomplishments. Even Hayward who is also very young accomplished more than Favors at the same point in time. We just lost top PG in NBA, the only star we have on the roster... for really not that much. Harris is a good player, but ... he is nothing compared to Deron. Favors is just nothing. Picks are a crap shot. And in the best case scenario you might get someone like Deron. This is a horrible trade, all around.
Harris more than mediocre. Favors can be an All Star. Will probably get top 11 pick this year and possible lottery pick next year. Obviously a lot of the trade depends on how good Favors can be.
You know what? **** it. Trade him. This team has become unwatchable anyway. They are going nowhere but backwards. Have been all season. This will breath new life into me as a fan.
This may have nothing to do with Sloan vs. Deron. After losing Sloan and this losing streak, maybe Jazz brass decided it's time to try the rebuild thing for real.
What the hell is Deron really doing for the Jazz anyway? He's a great player, but he isn't bringing the least bit of cohesion like a leader should. Let the trade go. They may be better without a star anyway. Same goes for Denver.
My only question is why no salary dump? Make them bring another team in to take AK or Memo.
One last thing. That 41-41 year was exciting as hell to watch as a Jazz fan. The underdogs played hard and upset some good teams. This team plays weak and gets upset night in and night out.
The Jazz were going to lose D-Will anyway. If they didn't trade him now and there is a lock out, what do they do then? I agree that the Jazz didn't get even close to the same value, but this was a move that needed to happen in my opinion. This lineup was not going to get it done.
not going to be garbage forever. but bad right now.
