The Jazz Will Get Dejounte Murray

May not want to stay forever but I'm sure he'd like the payday. I don't know that his stock gets a boost playing alongside Trae if he wants to play it out. Orlando, SA, Houston, Sacramento, the other teams with space... maybe a couple others. IDK man... I think its a decent match if the other stuff lines up.
Sure, but Utah wouldnt trade for him if he wont commit to staying and I dont think they would outright lie to Utah about their commitment.

It's a weird situation.

It's not as meme'd, but I think the Murray trade was far worse than the Gobert trade. At least with the Gobert trade there's some pathway for it all to work out kind of. This Atlanta **** just feels dead in the water to me. They threw away all those assets for two first round wins and now they may have to lose him after a season.

Yeah trading away essentially five 1sts for a guy who makes 50M is way better. Gobert apologists are hilarious.

Right... so he may want to commit enough that he signs and sticks around a few years. If we trade for him it is with the understanding he will sign long term. I honestly don't think he or Klutch have a big problem coming here if there is a payday and a good role with a decent team. If it doesn't happen that may be an indicator that Klutch said hell no.

Who we sending? I don't see it. Not giving up Ochai or Kessler, need a thrid team if sending Bull.
Props for correctly guessing Hendricks would be the pick, you must a ****ing genius or lucky one of the two.
I like DM but we could have drafted that type of guard at 16 in JHS and passed.
If anything I have us getting Kuminga for almost nothing. Rolling with THT Sexton Keyonte and Dunn all sharing ball handling duty until next season

nope, the jazz are tanking this year. DA learned his lesson and he wants that top 10 pick.
Nah. We gonna try to win next season because 1)our pick next year is only top 10 protected but talent wise I simply don't believe we are amongst bottom 10 worst teams in the league. We could try to lose all season only to see our 12th pick goes OKC. 2) our best player lauri is 27 yr old this coming season and entering his prime. He's on a bargain contract which allow us to make moves and collect pieces to win now. If we wait a couple of more years, Lauri's gonna get older and wanna get paid. And our assets & cap aren't gonna be as good either. It's not like we gonna win it all next year. Just make it to the playoffs next year then go from there. One step at a time and hopefully by 2025/26 we become real contender.

Who in the west do you think we will be better than next year? Obviously free agency will shake things up quite a bit for a few teams but as we currently stand who do you think we are better than?

This. My god how bad that would suck. And its kinda likely to happen if we dont try to win.

Idk but going into last season we were picked to be like 2 worst in the nba or some **** so, ya. We suck at being bad. We fall *** backwards into wins we dont want.

Weirdly enough return to SAS might make some sense.

From what I understand that is not a good option. Not sure either party was thrilled with that arrangement when they parted. Don’t think it was toxic… but I think it wasn’t good.

Nothing a huge Frenchman can't fix I bet. Adding a good PG who can guard is on their priority list now. He kind of fits.

The more I look at it the more I think this will be one of our top targets… if things work out contractually and Atlanta can’t find a better way to dump salary.

It just works… he can mix with Sexton or Ochai. If George is awesome you can play both guys… he’s a fungible big starting pg that can help you achieve flexibility you need. If we aren’t going to have megastars maybe we can become maximum flexibility stars with the pieces we have that can allow you to shift up and down.

It may not come to fruition as there are like 3-4 key barriers that could just shut it down. I would just guess it’s high on the consideration list (so long as the reports from Hardy on Murray are good… that’s one of those key barriers).
