I gotta resurrect this after reading Sam Amicks article about Ja which said that according to team source Minnesota is "monitoring" the Ja situation. In itself, its a nothingburger news that doesnt have any implications.... but as a theoretical debate it sounds fun.

Would people here want Ja to go to Minny or not?

I think that could result in Minny being better during the "honeymoon period", but I bet that honeymoon wouldn't last long. While Ja and Ant probably mesh well in terms of playstyle, I dont think they mesh well as personalities. Its much more likely that Ja would have a negative influence on Ant, than other way around, and I dont think either guy wants to play the 2nd fiddle. Ja is also definitely not a child at heart like Ant seems to be, but more like stuck on the "troubled teenager" phase of our lives.

Even worse for Minny would be if the gave up Conley as a salary ballast in that trade (which makes sense since Ja would be taking his job anyways), then who would be the adult in the room there?

I mean so far this year Keyonte has been better. Ja trending down, Keyonte trending up.

Yep and he’s not playing like he even cares about basketball or winning. He looks like he’s going through the motions. Last year JA’s defensive rating was 114. So far this year it’s ballooned to 119.7. I have no problem saying Key is/has been better this year.

I am not a fan of Ja at all but not sure how anyone could think this.

one of these players is a self-entitled and -imploding idiot. The other is not.

I wouldn't let one of them anywhere near my locker room. The other one is working hard to be better everyday.
