The Killing

Big TV night for me: Game of Thrones Finale, the Killing finale. I am assuming there will be one final twist, because as of right now I don't feel like Richmond makes sense as the killer. Can't wait to see what happens!

Yeah, it can't be richmond or that would completely make the last episode a waste of time. I'm a couple episodes behind on Game of Thrones so I am trying to avoid that thread at all costs.

I'm a big fan of the books so I know if I read that thread I'll have to restrain myself from spoiling stuff.

I'm thinking it is one of the two people working on Richmond's campaign. I'm way stoked for the finale.

Me too. But they said a shocking finale. Neither of those people would shock me. The teacher would be interesting to me because he's been an afterthought for about five episodes now and if I recall correctly was never truly exonerated from the crime. Yet we know he had feelings of some sort for the girl, had the chemicals in his house that were found on the body, and was with her earlier that evening. Yes, his original suspicious activity had to do with smuggling the girl to Canada but that doesn't mean he didn't do this.

Who's more likely is the current mayor. He has motive (ruin Campbell's campaign by having the girl found in one of his campaign cars) and the power and money, primarily to coarse the Indian casino peeps, jurisdictional differences notwithstanding.

Also, the parents, if you remember correctly, were "camping" the weekend of her murder. Perhaps some Shakespearean chain of events could have brought one of them to do it.

All that said, I think it's Billy Campbell's girlfriend like you mentioned. She had seen the teeny bopper in pics with him, perhaps had followed him or her the night of the murder and after their rendez-vous, assuming they did have one, confronted the girl, and then murdered her in a jealous rage. Pretty simple. Pretty reasonable.

Awesome, awesome episode.

I was fearful that everything would be tied up and season two would have to introduce entirely new characters (minus the cops) but this was masterful.

Masterful.

Though I don't like the direction the male cop is taking. Damn him.

Same. I wish I was as impressed as Snoop, but that episode was very disappointing. I don't think I'm going to watch it next season. It feels like Prison Break all over again.

Agreed. After a season of red herrings the only thing I watched the show for was Linden and Holder, and next season there wont even be that. It's off my DVR. I can't wait for the new season of Breaking Bad to come and wipe this show from my memory.

Season Two will definitely solve the case and involve a new case. I like that we're left wondering.
