Cmon Trout.
Perhaps my sarcasm didn't shine through like I had hoped. My bad.
But seriously, are you of the mind that homosexuality can be 'cured'? I've always thought the idea was absurd.

What are you looking for here Viny? Someone to say "I'd be devastated and disown my child"? I think most people on here would do what's already been said, love the sinner but not the sin.
I like to think I would be supportive of my child and their companion, whatever their sexual orientation. But that being said, I don't think I can truly know unless I am put in that spot.
Why is that an interesting statement? I know the way I feel about homosexuality. I know the way I feel about my kids. I don't know 100% how I will react in ANY situation that I have not been in. I can't see or predict the future, so I feel there is no way for me to know with absolute certainty what my reaction would be. I'll say that I think my reaction would be one of deep love for my child, regardless of sexual orientation.I think that's an interesting statement in of itself.
If you want the real answer, next year go to the mormon missionary booth at the gay pride parade and talk to the thousands of them. They will tell you some crazy **** that is pretty consistent across all of the momons and former mormons who are gay.
In the context that someone is born with a mental illness or defect then no. In the context of someone becoming mentally ill due to other factors then yes.Do you consider it to be akin to a mental illness or defect?
I wouldnt be surprised. Viny is as anti-mormon as they come. He acts as if the church murdered his family and pissed on their ashes.
But this guy is to be in his 20's. I believe Viny is an old single man. Im sure he has lots of cats and the neighborhood children make sure not to hit baseballs in his yard or trick-or-treat at his house.
Atheists are not going to agree with that no matter what the religion. They don't believe in sin. They don't believe in the concept of right and wrong the same way we do, so they will not have respect for anything you have to say on the subject.
In their minds, religious people are stupid. Atheists can be such snobs. It makes them feel better to think they are smarter than others.
