I think this is the dumbest thing the league has done in a long time. Am I alone in that?

Congrats to the winners on getting $500K apiece. That is awesome, especially for the end of the bench guys.

But basketball isn't soccer. And I don't understand why the league is trying to take the game in that direction. Feels more like a gimmick than anything else.

For the greats - rings matter, and gold metals matter. Could give a **** about the NBA Cup.

I absolutely love it. The best basketball in the regular season is played in the cup, it's not close.

It’s fine. It’s an attempt to try something new and inject a little more excitement and meaning to the regular season, which I can appreciate.

Fans obviously aren’t putting too much stock into it right now, but I can envision it carrying a bit more prestige if it sticks around long enough. That would be a win for sure.

One thing I like about NBA cup is no home court advantage, no heckling fans. Just play and win. Maybe if there's 1 game left in NBA finals they should do this too.
