The New England Patriots vs the Seattle Seahawks. Superbowl XLIX thread.

U have Lynch though?!? He was insured 1+ yards easy. In a regular season game fine, but in the biggest game u give the ball to your best player. Lynch most likely scores on that play.

Or he gets stopped in the backfield and everyone knows you have to pass the next play.

I didn't watch the game though, just heard about it. I don't really feel like it was that bad of a play-call. If they would have scored, everyone would have praised it. If they had ran the ball twice and got stuffed, they would have been made fun of for not being more creative when it was obvious they were going to run.

Oh gee throwing a pass at the endzone. That is such a bad call, only a bad coach would call that play. Sure it looks like a horrible call now in hindsight.

The worst play call ever. No exaggeration, no hyperbole, that was the dumbest play call ever in the history of football

Bama trying to kick a field goal from 60 yards out (to have it returned for a game losing TD) vs. Auburn was worse.

Nah. It was an extremely ****ty decision.

For the record, I wold have ran the ball, but I can respect a decision to try and pass. Teams do this all the time in similar situations, only it's not the potential game winning drive of the SB, and it works out.

Maybe the thinking was that there was only time to run a single running play, regardless of timeouts. So a passing play amounted to a "free play," basically, with less than a 10% chance the pass would get picked off. But I don't know how much time was on the clock.

NFL sucks.

College football is way more entertaining and NFL is just annoying.

The only story lines the media shoved down our throats for an entire 2 weeks was "deflate gate" and Marshawn Lynch saying 1 phrase for every media interview. And the Seahawks and Patriots both suck and have 0 likeable players.

So the sound bites make the NFL suck? To each there own.

The only respectable decision would be to not watch football altogether imo. I'd never choose college over pro. The quality of play is not even close.

As far as what the media shoves down people's throats - I don't bother with that ****. It's pretty simple to not watch that. Just turn on the TV to watch the game and then turn it off when it is over.

Glad I watched this game, it was hella entertaining.
