The Official Blow up the team thread.

He's definitely thinking poorly and with bad information (i.e. **** he sorta remembers as long as it fits a narrative).

One last thing, every great NBA player ever was drafted. Better to get in early than hope the stars align on the trade market or the first big name free agent ever suddenly decides that he must be in Utah.

Those odds are still infinitely better than a team where Al Jefferson is (treated as) your best player and your coaching decision is to pull the 3rd/4th assistant off the bench, promoted, then extended off of no information other than that he's been loyal.
Clearly you sit behind the bench and go with the team to the locker room, because you know so much about the coaching staff and how the Jazz runs its organization.

You are completely fine with blowing up the team, which could amount to us spending 5+ years in the lottery? What if Favors or Kanter don't pan out? 2 of the 4 busting is pretty likely, given draft odds.

Teams in the lottery don't sell tickets.

Since you don't question any moves this organization has made, where does your own critical thinking begin? Because as much as I love your ability to string together baseless formalisms on the status quo, you are, ultimately, an idiot.
Clearly they are baseless, because I don't agree with you. Bow down to the always correct NAOS.

Way to contribute.

The team you should be comparing the jazz with are the nuggets..... see both the jazz and nuggets traded a star player at about the same time for some good young lottery talent and some picks.

Denver is playing gallinari, lawson, and faried big time minutes, and they used afflalo to get iggy. So denver did a similar thing to what the jazz did but the biggest difference is that lawson, gallinari and faried are all starting and getting major minutes, where kanter, favors, and burks are not.
They didn't acquire any of those players by throwing the towel and tanking.

Sure, but you don't put all your eggs in the draft basket as a chunk of them are rotten.

Since when is asking for the youth to play the same as tanking? If that's the case then Denver is utterly failing at their own tanking effort.

Wolf, you seem to think that the argument is that people that are ready to move on are trying to tank. This is wholly inaccurate and a misrepresentation. Either a deliberate one, or one that reflects a staggering ignorance to the argument being put forth by most (this isn't going to work, might as well see what we're going to move forward with for better or for worse [where worse has rewards of its own]). You also seem to believe that the only consequence to dumping good but will never be great players is inevitable lottery for years to come.

Teams in the lottery don't sell tickets.

A truly sad argument that is probably the one the Jazz come back to anytime they have to weigh any kind of risk.

Let's get to brass tacks:

Wolf, what do you think the MOST LIKELY route is for the Jazz to get a championship? And to make things clear, do you think the majority of the talent will come by way of trade, free agency, or draft?

They are playing. They will get more minutes when we make moves when we get closer to the deadline. 1 trade has been made this season.

Wait till the deadline, then you can bitch.

He's happy with the way things are. Why should he care what it would take to get a championship. Just like Jazz management actually.

Maybe wolf is in Jazz management.
