I hope he gets better. Will miss his tweets and vines, but there are more important things in life than that...
 
Good to hear his family is supporting him with his struggles.

I deleted the pics. No need to kick a man while he's down. As he said in the article, he's been embarrassed by the weight gain and that's caused him to reclusive from certain social situations. I can understand that.

Yep. I've never been morbidly obese, but my weight has crept up over the years, just as one of my doctors warned. He said you put on 2-3 pounds a year and after 10 years you'll be in a place you don't want to be where you could have some health repercussions. And that's what happened to me: some years just a couple of pounds, others 5 pounds as I was dealing with a lot of stuff going on. And now I'm reversing course after a minor, albeit painful health issue. Great wake-up call!
 
Never really dealt with excessive weight gain issues (I'm 6'0" and topped out at 190 lbs as my heaviest), but I've dealt with depression issues since my sister passed away back in 2007. It's a nasty, horrible thing to deal with and kudos to Jody for admitting it and getting the help he needs. I've liked his writing and he's one of the few sports personalities I actually follow on Twitter. I like that he opened an account at Jazzfanz and interacts with us fanatics. I really hope that the time off helps him and his family get centered and life can back to normal for him.
 
He has an almost cringey sense of humor, but his insight is great. One of the most reliable Jazz insiders we have. You can just tell he's one of the good guys.

Gonna miss his work. Hope he comes back happy and healthy.

Applause for his company. Didn't think anyone did that anymore. I can only imagine how that would go down at my work.
