Free agency is never easy, and Utah has always been at a disadvantage. All things being equal, LA is the top destination among NBA players, and yet they've struck out 2 years in a row because nobody wants anything to do with them while Kobe is still there. I guess if some people want to believe that guys are lining up to play in Utah but our FO just isn't trying, there will be no changing their mind. Personally, I believe Utah is looking at every possibility to improve the team, and I won't fault them for not being able to force guys to play here. Utah's best opportunities to add a significant player have always been through trade, and there are advantages to maintaining financial flexibility leading up to the trade deadline. Sure, we'd all like to see some kind of big signing, but I don't see the point of throwing a screaming hissy fit over free agency when it always has been a disadvantage for a team in Utah, and we still have the opportunity to improve through trade.
